Professor Dr. Hassan Abdel Latif Al-Shafei was chosen as Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy for a third term.

The Union of Afro-Asian Universities extends its sincere congratulations, best wishes and heartfelt wishes to Professor Dr. Hassan Abdel Latif Al-Shafei, a member of the Senior Scholars Authority at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, for renewing his confidence and choosing him as Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy for a third term, receiving 27 votes out of a total of 32. We ask God Almighty to grant him continued health and wellness, and for the Academy to play its pioneering role in spreading the Arabic language to non-native speakers and supporting universities, institutes and scientific institutions with publications, experts and specialists in the field of the Arabic language.
