The selection of Professor Ridwan Hirsi Mohamed for the position of Assistant Secretary-General of the Union of Afro-Asia Universities for the Republic of Somalia and North Africa

The General Secretariat of the Union of Afro-Asia Universities extends its sincere congratulations on the selection of His Excellency Professor Ridwan Hirsi Mohamed, former Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, for the position of Assistant Secretary-General of the Union of Afro-Asia Universities for the Republic of Somalia and North Africa.

It is worth noting that His Excellency Professor Ridwan Hirsi is a renowned scientific figure, highly regarded for his competence, dedication, and distinguished contributions to science both locally and internationally.

His selection as Assistant Secretary-General was approved by the members of the Union’s Board of Directors and the Executive Council during the eighth Executive Council meeting, which took place at the Union’s headquarters in Istanbul on November 24, 2022. Participants praised Professor Ridwan Hirsi’s efforts in supporting education, students, and the Afro-Asian community, as well as his continuous work towards achieving security, peace, societal stability, and development.
