Union honors the former President of Al-Azhar University, Professor Abdel-Hay Azab
The Union of Afro-Asian Universities, represented by Professor Nabil Al-Samaluti, Vice President of the Union’s Supreme Advisory Board, Dr. Ashraf Abdel Rafeh Al-Darfaili, Executive Director of the Union, and Professor Walid Abdel Moneim Shatta, Coordinator of External Relations and International Cooperation of the Union, honors the former President of Al-Azhar University, Professor Abdel-Hay Azab, for his efforts in enhancing scientific, research and academic cooperation between Afro-Asian universities and his contribution to Islamic thought through his scientific writings and research. The honoring ceremony was attended by a group of men of science, thought, politics and media, most notably Professor Ashraf Abdel Aziz, Secretary-General of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment, affiliated with the League of Arab States, Professor Ishaq Abdel Aal, former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Azhar University, Professor Dr. Omaima, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities for Girls at Al-Azhar University, Professor Dr. Hoda Darwish, Dean of the Higher Institute of Asian Studies, Counselor Amir Mutawa, Dr. Mervat Abdel Rahman, President of Glory Academy, and Dr. Hind Abdel Halim, Assistant Professor of Urdu Language at Al-Azhar University.
